What changed, and did it reach the output

A rider is a thing with a history, not a blob you overwrite. Save a version when you change something, compare any two, and revert when a change turns out to be wrong. A revert appends — it never deletes the versions after the one you restore, so reverting by mistake is itself undoable.

An empty label is stored as “Version N”. Saving does not approve anything: approval is a separate gate and stays where it was.
