Working relationship

How much the agent assumes you know, and how far it goes before asking.

Expertise and autonomy shape every answer you get. An agent that explains basics to an expert wastes the response; one that acts without asking spends your recovery time.

Start from a preset

Optional. A preset is a starting point, not a commitment — every answer stays editable.

Applying a preset replaces your current answers — here and in the evidence, technical-defaults, and gate questions — rather than merging into them. That is deliberate: a preset layered over your edits would produce a policy no preset author ever reviewed. Pick one first, then edit.

Technical fluency

How much the agent should assume you already know.

Skip the basics, explain the unusual.

Response style

How much prose you want around the answer.

The answer plus the reasoning that would change it.

Autonomy

How far the agent goes on its own before it stops and asks you.

State the plan, then carry it out.

When you say "I am lost", the agent drops to exact, ordered, step-by-step commands regardless of the fluency setting above.
